Painting for me is a perpetual mind set, it’s a way of seeing, of thinking: it’s a way of living. Something that is bigger than myself and that is alive. I look the world around and I want to say something about it, that’s why I paint. I am fascinated with each part of the process, specially, the physical and intimate experience with the materials, with light and with my subjects of representation.
My technique and subject matter are directly related, I work everytime asking how to connect my concepts to notions like light, atmoshpere and mediums. So at the end I can have a piece that not only dialoges with the viewer but with itself.
I see my work not as finished pieces, but as a whole project of a lifetime, in which each painting is never finished but hopefully more complete than the last one.
